About Captain Mark Freeman: From Policies to Prize Catches
Welcome to the bridge! I’m Captain Mark Freeman, and if you’re looking for a world-class fishing adventure in Punta Gorda, you’ve found your guy.
People often ask how I ended up trading a desk for a deck. Before I was navigating the turquoise waters of Southwest Florida, I spent years in the Great Lakes State of Michigan. Back then, I owned and operated a number of Property & Casualty insurance agencies. I spent my days talking about premiums, deductibles, and “what-if” scenarios.
But eventually, I decided to trade in the “what-ifs” for “fish-ons!” I swapped the business suit for a sun shirt and moved south to follow my true passion: showing people the incredible bounty of the Gulf.
Why We Fish
While I love the adrenaline of a big strike as much as anyone, my real “why” is much simpler. I get a genuine thrill out of helping someone catch their very first fish. There is nothing—and I mean nothing—that beats the look of pure shock and joy on a kid’s face when they feel that first tug on the line and realize they’re winning the battle.
I specialize in trips for young families and children. I know that a day on the water isn’t just about the headcount of the cooler; it’s about the stories you’ll tell at dinner and the photos that will sit on your mantle for decades. I make sure the environment on my boat is patient, fun, and high-energy. Whether you’re five years old or eighty-five, I’m going to make sure you feel like a pro.
Professional Service, Personal Adventure
Coming from the insurance world, I haven’t forgotten the importance of professionalism. When you book with me at globalapp4.com, you’re getting a guide who is punctual, prepared, and obsessed with safety. But once we leave the dock, leave the “business” talk behind. We’re out here to laugh, enjoy the Florida sunshine, and bend some rods.
Punta Gorda has some of the best fishing in the world, and I can’t wait to share my “office” with you.
Ready to make some memories? Let’s get out there and find your first (or your biggest) catch!
